Don Rossi

I am a Connecticut native born in New London. I graduated from Paier School of Art in Hamden before pursuing a career in engineering. After returning to Connecticut, I rediscovered oil painting and woodworking with renewed focus, bringing a lifetime of observation and inquiry into my creative work.  My art is driven less by subject matter than by interpretation. Fine art is a two-dimensional metaphor designed to give voice to the ineffable. It exposes, glorifies, seduces, tranquilizes, excites, raises the awareness, heightens the senses and if you're fortunate it will bring joy to your life. 

My work has been exhibited throughout galleries Connecticut. In 2024 I was recognized with the Executive Director’s Choice Award at the Milford Arts Council. I am currently one of 30 artists selected for the Wee Fairy Village installation at the Florence Griswold Museum.
